    Description

    Description inked on reverse. Fairy Rose was sired by Kisber ( sired by Buccaneer), out of Hippolyta. Ormonde was one of the greatest racehorses of the 19th century. He raced in England and sired foals in England, Argentina and California.
    Photograph came with a number of horse racing items that belonged to Walter S. Vosburgh, an original member of The Jockey Club, turf historian ( author of American Racing, 1866-1921 etc.), official handicapper for various racing associations, including New York race tracks from 1894-1934 and for whom the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park are named.
